The Challenge

A sub brand of Digipower Solutions and producer of power accessories for GoPros, Drones and Mobile Phones, and other devices, Re-Fuel sought to establish its own identity within the competitive market.

The Approach

To fully understand the capability of Re-Fuel’s product line, [ 2 one 5 ] Creative executed extensive research to gain a thorough understanding of the technology. With this newfound knowledge, a creative strategy spearheaded by a unique tone, theme, and tagline for the brand, “Go The Distance,” came to fruition – playing a major role in all aspects of the positioning process. With this in place, the team began completing the necessary measures to successfully establish the Re-Fuel brand—highlighting the most important features and benefits of its products through a microsite, video production, and eCommerce website design and development.

Microsite Campaign

Re-Fuel’s latest product – the Action Pack – required a specific microsite with tech specs describing each of its extensions. Available in 6 hour, 12 hour and 24 hour packs for GoPro cameras, this innovative accessory, matched with custom photography and videography, was brought to life through an interactive and engaging microsite campaign.

Live Action & Motion Design

To ensure audiences understood all the capabilities of Re-Fuel products, [ 2 one 5 ] needed to captivate them with anything and everything that resonated with their sense of adventure. Shot on location in California, the team filmed Jesse Thomas through various terrains using his Re-fuel gear. This lead to an overarching brand video that captured the true competitive spirit of Re-fuel. Additionally, several of Southern California’s up and coming action sports athletes were utilized to further convey the features and benefits of the new Action Pack, adding a new element of power to this unique GoPro accessory.

Compelling visuals and imagery shot on location in California were used as the backbone of the project. Showcasing Re-Fuel products in various environments, drones and professional grade camera equipment were used to capture Re-Fuel products in multiple environments, ultimately highlighting the key features of the products and promoting their various uses in lifestyle and action settings.

An interactive eCommerce website was designed and developed to showcase the brand, its products, and their uses. Built on the Magneto platform, the site features the emotional cues, imagery, calls to action, videos, and photos necessary for consumers to solidify their purchase decision while being drawn into the brand experience.

Re-Fuel has seen an elevated increase in traffic to their digital web presence. Working together as a non-stop sales tool for the brand, the company has already positioned itself as a leader in the industry; featured at both the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas and the Winter X Games in Aspen, Colorado. Strong industry insights and a commitment to unique product design have Re-Fuel geared up for a record year of success, as sales have increased more than 50% since launch in early 2016 and Action Packs have been selling out at retailers and through eCommerce alike.
