[ 2 one 5 ] Creative just completed a defining video production project for Kimpton Hotels and Restaurants. The brand asked for an internal recruitment video to introduce and entice people with an interest in working for Kimpton to the city of Philadelphia.
Kimpton Hotels and Restaurants are known for their boutique hotels and restaurants all across the United States and in Europe. Their attention to detail and adherence to the theme of each hotel is unmatched, and the people running those hotels have to hold similar standards. [ 2 one 5 ] was incredibly honored to help instill those standards in our own work for Kimpton. We loved getting to explore our home city with fresh eyes and show others what Philadelphia is all about, beyond the typical touristy chatter.
[ 2 one 5 ] effectively portrayed the nuances of Philadelphia by highlighting desirable aspects of the city from a local’s perspective through video production. The video focuses on the outdoor spaces, unique shopping areas and excellency of the food scene within the city. The video production also simulates Kimpton’s ideas of different places being different worlds. Kimpton’s two Philadelphia establishments, the Monaco and Palomar each have a distinct style to them. The Hotel Monaco boasts a globally inspired flair with bright colors while the Hotel Palomar represents the peak of sophistication and professional elegance. Just as their hotels each have a vivid theme and therefore a different experience, so do the neighborhoods of Philadelphia. From the Italian heritage of South Philadelphia to the founding fathers’ presence in Old City, and the posh but urban influence of Rittenhouse, each neighborhood is like its own world. What makes this video so different and defining is the use of quick cut editing, showing the essence of each of these neighborhoods culminating in a dynamic representation of the entire city in a short amount of time.
“Partnering with Kimpton, such a prestigious and truly creative company, to create an engaging recruitment tool and video production that put a city so important to me in its best light was sincerely an honor. This was a dream project for me. It was a privilege to help others to see a different side of the city where I grew up and grew my business.” – Nikolas Greenblatt, Chief Creative Officer of [ 2 one 5 ] Creative.
