Why are we celebrating again?

It’s time once again for a quick (because its Friday and I’m tryin to get myself to the shore!) reminder as to why so many of us are turning this day into the unofficial start of a four day weekend. Memorial day! It’s a confusing time. Most of us know it as a three day weekend that happens to coincide with one of the best times of year. Others are a little less excited as they remember the loss of a loved one who died in service for our country. So while we’re off partying, roasting those hot dogs and toasting the unofficial start to the summer, let us not forget that we’re not supposed to be so excited. Ahhh Memorial day: picnics, barbecues, family gatherings, sporting events, memories of loved ones, and, oh yeah, I almost forgot: Memorial day is the time when cops nation wide crack down on that click it or ticket law. So watch out.

That said, I’m out, see ya at the beach!
