Weekend Wrap

What were we up to this weekend? Looks like it could be a photo shoot? Yeah? We’re keeping our lips a little tight on this one, but we’ll be spitting out hints here and there, so get ready to feel a little spray every now and again. I bet you can’t wait!

Locked and Loaded

Arsty Farsty Monday continues! As previously posted about, the Joshua Liner Gallery inaugural show, Locked & Loaded, opened this weekend. While we weren’t able to get up there for it, we took Dante Ross’s word that it was most certainly a dope show. While paging through the images on the Joshua Liner website, this one gets the distinct title of being a “favorite” because I like weird shit like that. Or something. But, guess what, I will never be able to afford any of this. Ever.

Judith Supine’s Dirt Mansion

If you subscribe/read our newsletter, then you know how much Judith Supine tickles our collective fancy with his feather of sliced and diced art work, wheatpastings, and “street art.” The elusive Brooklyn resident (not Williamsburg) opened his Dirt Mansion show at and in conjunction with the English Kills Art Gallery. The massive warehouse space includes plenty of Supine’s dayglo-ed characters some even situated in the middle of the floor as huge 2D sculptures that make this seem like one of the creepiest and best LSD trips ever. Eat your heart out 1969! It’s no wonder Wooster Collective marked this as their favorite show of 2008 so far, and Supertouch loved it, too.

Scroll down a little to read all about Dan’s LA Trip. He’s got some more photos, this time taken with a Holga. Look at those beautiful light leaks!
