Weekend Recap

Here at [ 2 one 5 ], we like each other so much that sometimes we’ll spend one of our weekend days/nights together. But there’s no work getting done, it’s just good, old-fashioned camaraderie and a genuine “like” for each other’s company. Call us weird. Call us dorks. But, please also call us fun. Here’s how we spent our Saturday together.

Things did, however, get started on a slight work-related tip. We all gathered in the office for our Spring/Summer 08 Lookbook photo shoot. Don’t worry, kids. The Flickr page will receive an update later today with some teaser pictures.

During and after the shoot, we drank Pabst Blue Ribbon Light and Magic Hat Number 9. We like to drink both crappy and good beers. Once the shoot wrapped, we each sat at our respective desks, without the computers on mind you, and continued to shoot the shit and drink more beer.

Soon enough, we ran out of beer and sent an intern down to Rotten Ralph’s where he promptly got carded numerous times while trying to purchase a couple six packs. He is, in fact, over the age of 21, but he did, however, decide to get us Miller Lite. Needless to say, we drank it anyway.

While drinking Miller Lite, we broke out a pack of playing cards and decided to play some college drinking games. Boy, did that really takes us back to our “glory days.” Nobody really won, we just ended up getting drunker and hungry.

To curb the hunger problem, we strolled down to Mexican Post for pitchers of margaritas, burritos, quesadillas, some of that guac, and chips and salsa. Dan got really confused in there, and didn’t believe that the back wall was a mirror. It took a lot of convincing.

With full bellies and enough alcohol in us to put down a horse, we figured there’s no better time to check out the Lounge at 707. We got there, sat at the bar, got more drinks, and got even drunker. Jerms paid for it all on his gift card. Thanks, Jerms.

707 was the last we were together. We decided we should finish up our nights in separate places. It might be a little weird to spend literally 12 hours together.

Welcome to a [ 2 one 5 ] weekend.

Streets is Over

nutter_swearing-in.jpg

Street is out; Nutter is in. Today, Michael Nutter was sworn in as the 98th mayor of our great city of Philadelphia. He moves his boxes into City Hall’s room 215. Let’s do a collabo tee Nutter. Your office and our company share the same digits. Get a hold of us.
