Word on the streets is that Philly has been breeding ground for the nation’s ugliest and rudest people. According to Travel & Leisure magazine we have been listed as the least attractive, stylish, friendly, active, and worldly humans in the US of A… I’m going to have to write a letter.
Dear T & L,
Up yours! How’s that for kind? How dare you! I mean, have you walked around Philadelphia, there are some hot chicks, and hot hot men. What did you do? Confuse us with the people of…ohh i don’t know…Florida? As for culture….Are you serious? Have you walked around all of Philly? We’re no New York, but we totally have our own melting pot….With a lil more than 1.5 million people how can you even utter the idea that we are not cultured? ….. Stylish? Ok, so maybe we’re not as fancy as we should be, but we hold our ground. We stand out, we’re unique, and quite frankly don’t care what you think about our jazzy fashionistas. Active? hmmm ok, I get that, but you can’t be home to the cheesesteak and not have one everyday. pshh
As far as rude…. With people like you callin’ us ugly, and out of state drivers, and corrupted politicians not takin’ care of our schools, playgrounds, and social areas, and clubs that close at 2am…. how can you not expect us to be a lil’ hot and bothered?
Take a good walk around Philly. We are beautiful.
Yours Truly,
Hot Stuff

ESPN’s College Game Day will be broadcasting from Happy Valley this weekend as the Nittany Lions get ready to take on the undefeated Buckeyes this Saturday evening at 8 pm. Luckily for Penn State ( a team that has an amazing at home record), Ohio State has always had a tough time at Beaver Stadium…
PSU students are already calling for a white out at this Saturday’s game against one of their biggest rivals and have been camping out in Paternoville outside the stadium since Tuesday
reason # 1078 why we love JoePa: Last night JoePa visited Paternoville to hang out with students and ordered them all pizza!

That’s it. We’re giving ourselves pink slips today. It’s high time we pack it in here at [ 2 one 5 ]. Frankly, we don’t want to be in the apparel business anymore. We quit.
“But, [ 2 one 5 ], I love your shit, your steez, and you. Why stop? What could have possibly have brought on the pack-it-in attitude? You were always rambunctious go-getters with a can-do motivation that drowned all naysayers in a wake of quality and exceptional design? What the fuck happened?”
That’s probably what you’re asking right now. So, here’s the answer:

Meet Phenomenon, the high-end sister brand of Swagger. If this shit is considered “cool” (both clothing and photography wise), then we want out of the game. Seriously. All the Japanese shit trickles into the American streetwear scene eventually, and if this is headed our way, we’d rather hang everything up and find a new outlet where we can dance amongst the wild animals of some magical land, and not have to worry about people wearing clothes that look like something I threw up the last time I drank way too much alcohol after eating some bad cart food.

This haven for graffiti artist was set-up for writers from all over to put up their work in a place made for graffiti artist by graffiti artist. The building itself is own by New York writer Meres. If your interested in thrown up your work, 5 Points is located at Jackson Avenue at Crane Street and Davis Street, Long Island City, NY as well as the free permits needed to write at 5 Pointz.

The Red Bull Art of Can exhibit opened last Friday at Fuel Gallery on 3rd and Arch. The exhibit showcases artwork made entirely from Red Bull cans. Submissions were accepted from across the United States, and ranged from sculptures, to clothing, to wall hangings. The exhibit will be in town until Nov. 2nd before moving on to Chicago. Definitely not one to be missed!

If the recent early snowfalls in Colorado didn’t quite tickle you in the right way (not “bad tickling,” but like fun playful tickling from a significant other. you know, in those early parts of a relationship before everything becomes way boring and tickling takes a backseat to doing Sudoku’s on separate ends of the couch while heroes or some shit’s on the tv) then maybe this video from yesterday at Snowbird in Utah will increase the finger motion. Hopefully, this season lives up to the early hype, and hopefully, the [ 2 one 5 ] Snowboards will finally get here.

Pitchfork reports that Swervedriver will be getting together to tour the world early next year. The lads from Britain haven’t really done anything together for almost ten years, and they’re one of my favs, so that’s provided some Monday morning excitement. No dates have been confirmed, but the plans are in the works. So, at this point, who knows if it’ll happen. In the meantime though, Adam Franklin has been on tour promoting his solo album. Also, no word on whether the tour will lead to a new album.
