There’s this neat little program, Spell With Flickr, that allows you to type in a phrase, and it’ll spell it out with letters from pictures on Flickr. After it gives you a first way to spell, you can click on each individual letter and it’ll give you a new photograph of that letter. You can keep doing this until you have something you like. Have fun, kids.

The blog front has been creepily slow. I guess not much has been going on. Or it could be that I’m not used to being in the office on Tuesdays. Either way, the ridiculously non-newsworthy day leads to me writing about [ 2 one 5 ], and, to get all meta, I’m going to talk about this blog in a blog post.

A few days ago, our blog received a little makeover. Why? Well, sometimes we get a little tired of the way things look, and it becomes time to change things up a bit. Kind of like when you get a funky haircut(if you get funky haircuts) We hit it with our new favorite color, gray, and added in some banana and baby blue. Plus, of course, there’s a gradient. No backwards “r” though, but the “o” in blog gets the fill treatment. Links are now brown and bold. They change colors when you scroll over them. It’s magic, or something.
To get even more “meta” on you, watch now as I link this blog from this blog. Crazy shit, people.
Visit the [ 2 one 5 ] blog.

Coming in Spring of 2008, BlackLake Productions will release Beautiful Losers, a movie based on a book of the same name (the non-Leonard Cohen one) featuring some of our favorite artists from what’s being described as the most important art/cultural revolution of our time. If you’re not familiar with the work of Ed Templeton, Barry McGee, Harmony Korine (you should be familiar with this one), Shepard Fairey (this one too), Margaret Kilgallen, Chris Johansen, Stephen Powers, etc. then we suggest you pick up the book or Aaron Rose’s (the man behind this film) Young, Sleek, and Full of Hell which documents all the happenings at the Alleged Gallery.
