Fringe Fest Update

So its that time of year…Philly Fringe Fest time. For those of you who have not yet taken advantage of the inexpensive arts, dance, and theater shows, you still have one week left. Last night I caught the final show of IndiversCity, presented by Indigenous Pitch dance company combining modern dance, hip hop, break dancing and interpretive dance, for a very moving and socially aware performance. If you like this kind of thing be sure to check out Preconcieved Motions on Friday and Saturday which contains several of the dancers from IndiversCity for a performance combining ballet and hip hop.

Welcome to the White House!

JoePa and the Nittany Lions did it again this weekend with a 31-10 victory over Notre Dame. On Saturday, Beaver Stadium saw its 2nd largest crowd ever, and also the first ever all stadium white out (which is pretty much one of the coolest things ever). The Penn State defense held the Irish to zero yards rushing and only 144 total yards, sacking Notre Dame quarterback Jimmy Clausen six times for a loss of 50 yards. There’s a reason we’re known as linebacker U, let’s just hope we can keep up this momentum for our big ten rivalries.
