The Challenge

With a firm belief that great leadership transforms people, Diversified Search was looking for a fresh new website design and development. As one of the nation’s leading search firms, Diversified Search needed a website that had consistent cohesive messaging, an updated visual look and user experience, and a more streamlined way to effectively communicate what they do to potential clients. In addition, the website needed to be fully responsive as mobile use of the site has continually increased over the years.

The Approach

As with every project, [ 2 one 5 ] Creative took a strategy first approach to the website design and development needs for Diversified Search. As a large corporate entity, [ 2 one 5 ] Creative met several times with leadership to determine the appropriate goals for the site. In hearing the client’s challenges, [ 2 one 5 ] Creative was able to develop an appropriate roadmap to ensure corporate success for Diversified Search. Following this roadmap, the necessary elements of the site were brought to the forefront through each step of the process––from site planning up through launch.

Brand Identity

Diversified Search hosted a company-wide contest where a new tagline was developed––Advancing Leaders. Transforming Organizations. With this new tagline, the brand identity had to evolve. First, [ 2 one 5 ] Creative incorporated the tagline into the branding, maintaining the level of consistency their clients were used to seeing from the company. Next, [ 2 one 5 ] Creative developed a series of social versions of the logo as Diversified Search embarked on increasing their presence across these platforms. With these new brand pieces in place, [ 2 one 5 ] Creative’s final step was to update the brand standards by creating a new manual for logo usage to ensure cohesion across all touchpoints.

Information Architecture

As part of our process, [ 2 one 5 ] Creative held a collaborative meeting with Diversified Search leadership to develop an information architecture for the site. In reiterating the goals, our two teams mapped the site to guide users in the appropriate direction. In doing so, the site was then planned to provide the key information to potential clients or someone who has been contacted by Diversified Search for an opportunity. From this, an information architecture was created that identified the user flow, important information, and sections of the site where it could be found, leading to an easy to navigate site.

With the information architecture serving as a guide, [ 2 one 5 ] Creative set out to design the site using the brand standards put in place. Starting with mobile first, [ 2 one 5 ] Creative designed the site on smaller screens to determine the appropriate information and layout to effectively convey to site visitors the mission and values of Diversified Search. In doing so, the user experience of the site followed suit, paving the way for how the site would responsively function on larger screens such as tablet and desktop. Through the website design, [ 2 one 5 ] Creative was able to position Diversified Search as a leader by establishing key design elements that enhance user experience.

WIth WordPress website development, it became important for [ 2 one 5 ] Creative to build the site for easy updates by the client. With several dynamic sections such as News, Success Stories, and more, the back-end of the WordPress website was fully built-out with custom post types, custom fields, and the like to ensure easy usability and updates by the client.

In order to maintain brand consistency with the new look of the website, [ 2 one 5 ] Creative also provided design services for a corporate presentation deck. Build in PowerPoint, the presentation deck follows the look and feel of the website, using similar elements throughout the 60+ page and page templates [ 2 one 5 ] Creative put together. Along with the website, the presentation deck provides Diversified Search with the tools they need to their vast array of clients, including Fortune 500 companies.
