The team at [ 2 one 5 ] Creative recently completed a video project for an outstanding organization that we are honored to support: College Possible.
Founded in 2000, College Possible is a national organization that makes college admission – and success – possible for low-income students. Through intensive “near peer” coaching and support, the College Possible curriculum covers everything from academic preparation to financial planning, the college evaluation process, and personal development.
The organization’s results speak for themselves: 98% of program participants are admitted to college.
Our task was to create a video illustrating the story College Possible, and its real-life impact on participants and communities. To accomplish this, we focused on the personal journey of Camellia Brown, a college-bound student whose odyssey started with College Possible. Shot documentary-style, the video captures Camellia’s experiences in her own unscripted words. The viewer is given a first-hand look at how College Possible literally changed Camellia’s life, arming her with the tools – and confidence – she’ll need to succeed at Temple University next year.
College Possible will utilize this video to rally support as it competes in NRG Gives 2018, a grant program offering a $100,000 prize to a local non-profit. College Possible is one of three finalists for the award. The winner will be determined via a public online vote, and voting will remain open through May 7.
For College Possible, $100,000 would be a game-changing sum. If you would like to #MakeItPossible for more students to benefit from College Possible’s services and guidance, please click here to have your vote counted. Supporters may vote once a day.
