Attention all artist, creators, and basically everyone. Legislation is in the process that would require you to register and copyright ALL of you work or else they become ORPHANED and free for anybody to use and make money off of. As it sits now, an artist’s work becomes copyrighted once it’s completed; it does not have to be registered. This new bill would turn all unregistered artwork into orphaned work, and free for anybody (companies included) to use without your approval and without paying. Of course, this will drain an artists pockets as they scramble to get all of their work under wraps and fully copyrighted.
