Prior to the start of this weekend’s round of NFL playoffs, did anybody think that Eli would still be alive while Peyton spends his weekends at home? Or that T.O. would be balling his eyes out at a post-game press conference? Me neither. Things got started on Saturday afternoon in Green Bay where a snowfest turned into a dominant performance by Ryan Grant and another poor day for former MVP Shaun Alexander. It’s hard enough to pass in the snow, but imagine running. Let alone for over 200 yards. Next, Jacksonville hung in with New England for the first half of what had the promise of being a good game. Well, I fell asleep at halftime, so I didn’t really see how it ended. The Pats won and kept their unbeaten streak alive. That’s all I know. Sunday saw Peyton Manning and his giant head (in the literal sense) lose to the Chargers. Knowing Peyton, he’s blaming his line and receivers before he even points the finger at himself–something he’s never done. Then, Sunday night provided the most entertainment as Romo and T.O.’s Cowboys got knocked the fuck out by Eli Manning and the Giants. Basically, the best part of the whole thing was T.O. post-game crying and saying he never blamed/blames his quarterback, but rather supports them. It was the media’s fault for his feuds/hissyfits against Jeff Garcia and Donovan. Right. Go cry again, please.
