I don’t really buy new music anymore. Nothing really tickles my fancy. So to combat my extreme boredom, I’m consigned to dust off the old gems every now and again, and pretend like they’re fresh out of the plastic wrap. Although they now smell like my room, it’s still fun to makebelieve like I’ve never heard it before. Here’s a few examples:
1.) Stone Roses – s/t = Best album ever.
2.) Jay-Z – Reasonable Doubt = Boy was hungry here. How did he ever let Kingdom Come see the light of day?
3.) Echo and the Bunnymen – Crocodiles = I want teased poofy hair more than ever now.
4.) My Bloody Valentine – Isn’t Anything = Earlier, fuzzier, rawer version of one of my favorite bands.
5.) The Durutti Column – Return of the Durutti Column = Martin and Vini fucking around with guitars and synths.
6.) Kool Keith – Black Elvis = This album is mindblowing even to this day.
